The Padres have split squad games today against the Dodgers at home, and Rangers at Surprise. Buddy’s lineup card against his division rivals looks like this:    

The Padres came one player closer to completing their opening day roster today by reassigning right hand pitcher Brad Boxberger to minor league camp.

“When you start the game, they don’t say “Work ball!” They say “Play ball!”

As opening day gets closer the Padre made some anticipated moves today sending the followers players to minor league camp.      

“You don’t realize how easy this game is until you get up in that broadcasting booth.”

8 days left in spring training…but who’s counting?  Only one game today and it’s against the defending division champion D’Backs. Here’s Buddy’s lineup card:    

“I’d walk through hell in a gasoline suit to play baseball.”
