What the heck is Scan’s CV? “CV” stands for Curriculum Vitae, loosely translated from Latin it means “course of life”. A CV provides an overview of a persons life and qualifications. Bob Scanlan is a former major league pitcher who’s professional career spanned 20 seasons including parts of 9 seasons in the big leagues with the Cubs, Brewers, Tigers, Royals, Astros and Expos. Since his retirement after the 2003 season, he has been broadcasting on television and radio as a baseball analyst, play-by-play announcer, and sports show anchor.
